Mission

My mission is to design and engineer furniture products that delight and measurably enhance people's lives.

My vision is to develop product lines that redefine the benefit furniture has through thoughtful integration of technology, adaptive optimization, and a cradle to cradle lifecycle of components, and elimination of end-point waste.

Values

SERVICES

User-centric

I use 50th percentile sizing models, and BIFMA standards for design and construction. My furniture can be enjoyed by people of all shapes and abilities and Its parameters are tailored to the client's real needs through research and refinement.

Circular Economy

In little and big ways, furniture must become longer lasting, recyclable, up-cyclable and focused on the next generation.

Design with Rigor

My furniture products are designed to last for years and even decades, and since any potential shortcomings are amplified, I take great care to address future issues before launch to ensure that the user has the best possible experience and utility from day one.

PRODUCT DESIGN

Furniture systems for the home and office. Product design and development. Sketching, Drawing, market research, resilient 3D models and connected, highly detailed drawing sets. Process documentation through professional photography, video, animations and photo-real 3D renderings.

STUDIO FURNITURE

Custom designs that follow my ethos of high durability, from the highest quality materials and hardware. Design for repair means my clients receive an heirloom-quality piece that can live far beyond a typical lifetime of 10-25 years.

Back to Nature

Materials, finishes, and processes should be designed with the least toxicity and embodied energy possible. Additionally, materials should be kept separable to enable recycling at the end of their lifecycle.

Curiosity

I strongly believe that everything can be improved by continuously and earnestly asking "Why?" and then finding a good answer.

Science and Art

Neither refinement of form nor checking feature boxes alone will really develop products that people love, but the avoidance of either will assuredly produce things no one wants.
