Coffee Table
A lightweight coffee table built around a pair of curved wood shells. One half of the top slides open to reveal an integrated storage compartment, keeping everyday objects close at hand without interrupting the table’s clean profile.
The structure combines molded ash surfaces with Lyptus legs and supports, using the contrast between pale and dark wood to clarify the table’s construction and movement.
Materials + Process
The curved top shells were formed through vacuum molding, allowing the table to remain visually thin while creating enough depth for the concealed storage cavity and internal structure.
Lyptus—a plantation-grown eucalyptus hardwood—was used for the darker structural components. Its density, fine grain, and warm color provide a strong contrast to the lighter ash surfaces
